This week I was fortunate enough to be given a press pass to fashion week in Sydney, with this privilege I was able to see shows and admire the street style that was in action outside the venue! My preparations for this week started weeks ago when I received and email confirming that my application to be considered part of the ‘Press and Industry’ was accepted. Lets just say online shopping carts everywhere were full unlike my bank account the day after, we just won’t focus on that for now though!

Fast forward to Tuesday the 17th of May, I arrived at the Instagram famous Carriageworks and instantly felt dazed and confused by the mania that surrounds fashion week. I don’t think this feeling really went away for the first two days that I was there, luckily I met up with Tara (@Fashionbambini) who helped me navigate my way through to sanity! Of course mania and sanity aside, I enjoyed the week and was able to see some good collections, including Anna Quan who is an emerging designer and winner of Project Nextgen.
After reviewing all of the collections shown, my two favourites were Anna Quan and Emma Mulholland! Here are my sentence long summaries of each of them:
With sleepy oversized sleeved white shirts and navy bottoms to match, Anna Quan quickly became my favourite due to her combination of French and Australian style where chic meets laid back!
Although I could only see through a tiny gap between people, Emma Mulholland still made an impact with the collections display of intergalactic prints and sequins that consumed the whole outfit!
Here are some other photos that I took throughout the week:
