Finally we’re have arrived at Paris, the fashion week that speaks most to our hearts. Here are the final highlights of fashion week:
The slinky, silhouette giving slip dress returned at Nina Ricci and was highly appreciated. Guillaume Henry as the creative director is the one to thank for this slip dress archetype. Trench coats also joined the collection, probably for assurance that this was a fall/winter collection. Damaris Goddrie closed the show, her outfit hinting that she lurks in the shadows of night, solving Parisian crimes.
Carrying on with the simple scarf, Chloe made winter look flowey, light and breezy. Clare Keller’s ability to create collections that are distinct from the former but still each individual item appearing as if it belongs in the shimmering sun is admirable. I don’t think we’ll ever get sick of waif like fabrics that probably feel like wearing delicate feathers on your skin.
Ellery presented a Gothic indulgence, deep red velvet paired with confusing black silhouettes cornered the idea that pastels and frills are obsolete. Well done Kym!
Valentino provided the guide to on how to dress like a ballerina: puffy skirts, ballet flats, princess pink. Now we just need a guide on coordination and achieving a graceful presence when partaking in actual ballet movements.
