As all the fashion elite scramble to London, I’ve decided to take the time to review New York Fashion Week and select highlights. If you happened to miss the constant stream of Snapchat updates at NYFW then this blog post is the one for you!
Mansur Gavriel never fails to convince me that I need to spend $1000 on a bag, luckily their products sell out so quick that I have a habit of missing out! However, this collection introduced a new style of bag that is making nervous that I wont have any money left in my bank account! Their new ‘elegant bag’ could of easily have appeared in Mad Men and I’m sure it will appear along side many fashion bloggers arms.
Marchesa’s FW16 collection invaded Instagram and Snapchat with its display of wondrous dresses. The collection was clearly designed for the queen of fairies in mind!
Ralph Lauren was very Ralph Lauren like, which wasn’t a bad or boring thing. Although almost or the looks were in shades of brown, the designs of the pieces were very appealing and classic. The closing looks of the show added a little spark of gold as well!
Platforms, Lady Gaga and crazy makeup was what made Marc Jacobs FW16 the most memorable collection of the week. The clothes weren’t overlooked despite the craziness that unfolded around them, holding their own with large Victorian skirts that made Gothic look cool again (was it ever not cool?).
